Description

Orchids are my favorite flower. :) This took a few days to complete. I used one photo reference. It's hard to make a light source come from a foggy background because there's no definite shadows that fall anywhere. Hope you like, thanks for looking.
Freehand in photoshop 7.

Orchids are my favorite flower too! I have a few. :) I love the way you did this. I think the dress is my favorite. My only critique is that I think you should try to soften her skin and blend a little more. Maybe give her hair some highlights to bring out more realness. Great Job.

Great job! I agree with BlueAngel, you should try to soften her skin a bit. Everything else looks really good.

Nice. I don't like the floor. You shouldn't use black and grey for the schadows but some sort dark blue. Keep on stuffing.

I'm not sure I like the tilt of everything, makes it feel like everything's going to slide to the right of the image... But you do such wonderful work with fabrics and designs of dresses..

I agree that blue in the shadows would help it a bit. I don't think that you need to soften the strokes for the skin, however,... simply because it retains that painterly feel. Nothing wrong with visible strokes, especially since they are consistent throughout the image.

yeah...do not soften the skin=) I think it looks great just the way it is. The dress is beautiful done.

You have such skill with rendering fabric... it looks so soft and silky smooth. Beautiful work!

It's co soft and pretty. :) My only critique would be her face, her jawline seems just a tad too wide, but otherwise this is great! How do you do the fabrics?!

This is incredible. THe lighting and the folds of the fabric are excellent. +8

Apart from what everyone else has said about this picture. I think that you should add a slight white glare from the windows. Because right now they seem sort of hard, but if you added softness to the "glass" part by adding soft whites to the edges it would give it a more soft feeling to it. :)

Colors = awesome. Definately wasn't what I was expecting from seeing some of your other art. I'm usually used to pieces called "orchid" to be vivid, colorful, etc. Billiant juxtaposition.

The woman is stunning. The skin tones, facial expression and rendering of the clothes is perfection
